2. Compliance
Compliance is crucial; it is important that the system you use is compliant with all New Zealand regulations. A fully compliant product ensures you can have the peace of mind that your Fencing and Balustrades are of the highest quality and safety standards.
PS1. Producer Statement
Producer Statements are an engineering document that provides the necessary details to allow products to comply with NZ regulations.
If you are installing a fence around a pool or a balustrade to protect a fall of over 1000mm, the local council will require you to produce a PS1 at inspection, to comply with Pool Fencing (F9) or Balus-trade (F4).
The BelAire System and its range of hardware are all compliant with F4 and F9 New Zealand Standards and come with a PS1 producer statement.

CSI. Certified A Grade Glass
Ensure you use Grade A Toughened Glass Panels with a CSI certification.
BelAire glass panels go through the rigorous process to get the certification by complying with different methods of testing. Our glass is batch tested to ensure our panels are compliant and remain so.

Don’t get caught out at inspection time with non-compliant products, potentially delaying your project and putting you out of pocket. Make the smart call and go with a system and family of products that are fully compliant and come with all of the required documentation to back it up.
3. New Zealand Local
For 50 years, we have been based in the sunny Hawkes Bay. Our team is based here and so are our products. This means when you place an order through us, everything, from the first expression of interest to your order being loaded onto the truck and sent out all happens right here in the Bay.
Our team works fast, and being centrally located in the North Island our orders are shipped quickly as well. For non-custom orders, we aim to have your order shipped and delivered within a week.

150+ 5 Star Reviews
Don’t just take our word for it, our customers feel the same way. Over one hundred and fifty five-star reviews is no coincidence. Our team has worked hard over the years to gain this reputation and we will work hard to ensure you receive the same, ‘top-notch’ treatment as well.

6. Quality
Quality is everything when investing in a system designed to enhance and protect your property. Before purchasing a frameless glass fencing or balustrade system, take a close look at the individual components to ensure they meet your standards and are of the highest quality.
Hardware things to Look Out For
Key parts to check include the size and weight of the spigots, the pressure plate and grub screws, the materials used, and the adjustability. Below is a comparison between a BelAire spigot and a competitor highlighting these key points.
The BelAire Spigot (left) is noticeably larger, with more material in key areas, creating a sturdier spigot that is compliant with all NZ standards.

The BelAire Spigot (left) has a much larger pressure plate and larger grub screws, meaning the clamping force on the glass panel is greater, and that force is dispersed over a larger area, making the panel more secure and less likely to fracture.

SS2205 - Ensure you choose spigots that are made from the highest quality. SS2205 is superior to the commonly used 316 stainless steel not only for its corrosive protection but also for the strength of the spigot.
Don’t just go by the packaging or marketing. Check the spigot itself to ensure it has the marking molded into the product (as circled in red above).

Your time is valuable. Without an adjustable spigot, leveling your glass can become a headache involving repeated installation and removal of panels to adjust packing under spigots. This is a time consuming process. Our adjustable spigots save time and ensure a high-quality finish.

Glass Tested to be the Best
We use only the highest quality Grade A glass. While it may seem like all glass is the same, there’s a significant difference between high-quality manufacturers and those focused solely on price. Lower-cost glass is often made with cheaper raw materials, resulting in a green tint, visible blemishes, and wavy patterns that distort views.
At BelAire, that is not the case. We pride ourselves on quality and offer comprehensive after-sales support.
In this image, a 1400mm wide BelAire panel is being load-tested with 330kgs of pressure being placed along the top edge of the glass.

In this image, a swing test is being completed. For the test, a panel of our glass is hit with various weights, which are swung at the panel. This tests the glass’s impact resistance ensuring it is up to compliance.

This image shows a particle shatter test. In the case that glass does fail, it must have a minimum of 40 particles within a 50x50mm square. In this case, our panel has 43, which is a pass.

Our glass panels come in their own separate cardboard box with corner protectors.
All glass is packed on pallets lying down horizontally and then fully wrapped to ensure maximum protection to the order. All spigots and hardware come individually packaged so everything arrives organised and easily distinguishable.
